Videology camera consistently achieves under testing

Greenville, RI (USA) and Uden, Netherlands
After a demanding eighteen month trial Videology has announced that their newest ATM camera has met or exceeded all performance goals. The manufacturer confirms that the 1/3" WDR camera withstood rigorous testing at all test sites - the desert heat of Arizona, urban environments in Los Angeles and residential neighborhoods in New Jersey. Videology's ATM camera (model 20B705-ATM) certainly seems to be the camera of choice for one of the largest global manufacturers of automatic teller machines.

OEMs, banks and national installers demand top performance. They need a universal camera that captures sharp, discernable facial images at any ATM installation site – from outdoor locations in harsh, sunlit parking lots to indoor ATMs installed in dimly lit shopping centres. They also insist that the camera should be simple to install and modestly priced.

During the tests the Videology ATM camera consistently achieved high quality facial images and met the simple installation/low price requirements.

Testing addressed commonly experienced dynamic range issues. Faces captured at ATMs are often “blacked out” as a detrimental effect of harsh backlighting. The same effect may occur in dim lighting. Inferior cameras are unable to clearly capture a facial image, negating the expectation of ATM video surveillance – to visually connect the offender with the crime.
Videology engineers undertook multiple redesigns before the camera was perfected and accepted. The refining process included extensive on-site optimization and redesign.
